Healthy Living Tips

Hello, lovely people. I hope you all are doing very well. Sorry that I couldn’t post on Monday. We were away for the day. It was a last-minute decision. I probably mentioned that life has been hectic lately, but I am not complaining. All good things are happening around me, family and friends. I am really grateful. I do get stressed out from time to time. I think it’s only normal. Anyway, let’s get on with it. I want to share some healthy living tips. Again, I am not an expert. Just my personal experience to share with you guys here. Hope you find the tips are tiny bit helpful. xx   Portion control. When I stress out, I intend to eat more than I really need which certainly leads to gaining weight. I try my best to keep that in mind to make sure I don’t eat more than necessary . Eat healthy fresh cooked food.  When you are busy, I know you feel you have no time to cook. It’s really not necessary true. …

Potato Bacon Buns

Hey guys, it’s Friday again! I hope you all have had an amazing week! I am really looking forward to the weekend. Just want to spend a cosy weekend at home with my husband and probably catch up with some friends too. Life has been a little bit hectic at the moment. I haven’t had much time for cooking. I really miss it! Today, after I came back from the grocery shopping, I realised I didn’t get any bread from the bakery. I really can’t be bothered going out again. So I have a perfect excuse to warm up my oven. 🙂 I want something more than just plain bread.  I want something with filling. I sautéed some potatoes with bacon and heaps of black pepper in olive oil. My Kenwood chef has to do the work to make the dough. When the dough is ready, I made eight buns with the filling I prepared. Time to let it rise again. Patience, patience and patience! I cut the top before sending them in the oven. They looked …

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Age Support Face Cream | Review

Hey everyone, just a quick skin care product review today. I would like to talk about Emma Hardie Amazing Face Age Support Face Cream in this post. I have been using it as my night cream for a while. So I guess it’s time to share. It’s an UK brand. So it’s not easy to get it in Australia. I bought it from cultbeauty website from UK. Then, I found ASOS is selling products from this brand as well. I kinda like their principle to develop products that can help firm and plump skin without using harsh ingredients. I used to think I don’t care about the chemical ingredients as long as it works on my skin. However, lately, I have become more and more interested in skin care products with natural or healthy ingredients. Certainly, it has to deliver what I want. What they say about it: “An intense super-hydrating and lifting treatment creme that helps to give the skin back its youthful glow. A powerful blend of marine and botanical extracts combined with …

Take Care of Yourself During Change of Weather

Hello, lovely people. I hope you are all well. It’s getting warm here. I can see tiny teeny green leaves coming out from our grape wine. Can’t wait for the warm weather! Although I am so looking forward to the warm weather, my hay fever is having its moment. Half of my colleagues in the office are sick. I guess it happens when weather changes. I got flu few weeks ago as well. So I thought it might be a good idea to put together a post about how I deal with change of weather. Just few things I do to boost the immune system. Remember that I am not a professional to give health advice. These are just my home remedies that I want to share with you. Water Water!Water!Water! I intend to drink a lot of warm water when weather changes. I think we all know the benefits from drinking water, flushing out toxins, boosting immune system, helping with healthy skin, etc. Ginger Turmeric tea I also drink a cup of ginger turmeric tea everyday, …

Mecca Max Chic Cheek Blush & Game Face BB Cream|First Impression

Hey lovelies, I hope you are having an amazing day! Last week, I went to my local Mecca Maxima shop. Just in case you don’t know what the shop is. It is an Australian owned beauty shop. It looks like they have two types of shop that are carrying different beauty brands. One is focusing on beauty products, called Mecca Maxima. The other one is focusing on luxury brands, called Mecca Cosmetica. Although I don’t quite get the concept behind this, I do notice one probably has more fragrance brands. Anyway,  they do have most of the beauty brands available in store. They just launched their own makeup line, called Mecca Max. I think most likely they are only sold in Australia and New Zealand. I picked up two products that I am interested, the Game face BB cream SPF 30 in medium and Chic Cheek blush in Gold glow. Game face BB cream SPF 30 – medium (AUD $26) What they say about this product: “This is no average BB, this is the BB …

South Island, New Zealand

To me, nothing is better than travel. On the road means a lot to me. It means me time. It means learning. It means some of the best time I shared with my friends or loved ones. Replacing my old laptop gave me an opportunity to reorganise my files. Something I probably should have done long time ago. Among all the files, there are a lot of old photo files. I forgot how much I love looking at my trip photos. Actually I haven’t forgotten. I just haven’t had a lot of time to do it. Excuses, excuses, and more excuses…… We moved from NZ to Australia over 5 years ago. Whenever someone asked me about travelling to NZ, I always recommend south island. It’s truly beautiful in every season. In this post, I just want to share with you a trip I took with some friends to south island in a winter many years ago. Please bear in mind these photos were taken more than 5 years ago. The quality is not as good as these …

Milk & Co Face Cleanser | Review

Last day of July! I have no idea how and where July has gone. I still remember how I felt when it was January…All right, that’s enough. Let’s look forward. Today I want to present you the Milk & Co face cleanser, It’s not a new product, but it’s new to me. I have been using it nonstop lately. Although I had another post planned, I just love this one too much that I have to tell you all about it. 🙂 I don’t particular like foaming cleanser since I have dry skin. However, I was surprised by this one. I fell in love right away when I used it for the first time. Who can blame me? You will love the smell of this cleanser. It does not dry out my skin, and it has 95% naturally derived ingredients. What they say about it: “A natural based foaming cleanser to clear away the day and get you ready for the next.  With scents of essential geranium oil, ylang ylang and extracts of hibiscus flower …
