Self-Facial Massage Benefits and Tools

Happy Friday, guys! I hope you all have had a good week so far. I am going to talk about the benefits of a facial massage today. I am a big believer. I have incorporated it in my daily skin care routine for years. I found it not only helps me with my sleep but also makes my skin healthy and glowing. I believe there are plenty of benefits from a daily facial massage. For example: Anti-ageing – facial massage increases blood and oxygen circulation to improve fine lines around eyes and mouth. As we all know, our body produces less and less collagen as we age. Facial massage helps to increase collagen production during the process. Detoxing – When doing facial massage, it helps to push lymph fluid through our system by increasing muscle movement. In that way, it helps to improve drainage and remove toxin from our face. Improve skin care products absorption – when we do facial massage with skin care products, it helps to absorb the products better. Glowing and plump complexion – facial massage increases …

Urban Decay Naked Skin Colour Correcting Fluid|review

Hey loves, happy Friday! Today I am gonna talk about Urban Decay naked skin colour correcting fluid. I have the colour peach. I know a lot of you love Urban Decay naked skin weightless concealer. I have to say I am not. My go-to concealer is BareMinerals complete coverage serum concealer. I found the UD concealer is too heavy on my very dry skin. Urban Decay says this product has an innovative and lightweight formula. It leaves the skin illuminated and radiant. The liquid formula is light and easy to blend. Its pearlescent pigments can diffuse light on your skin. It also has vitamin C and E to nourish and protect the skin. There are six colours: green – correct spot redness, blemishes, broken blood vessels. lavender – balance sallowness and bright yellow undertone pink – for dark circles in fairer skin tones yellow – conceal purple-hued dark circles peach – correct dark spots, veins, blue-hues dark circles in deeper skin tones deep peach – for dark discoloration and sun spots for deeper or bronzier skin tones. …

New Favourite Red Lippy – Nars Le Palace Velvet Lip Glide | Review

Hey lovelies, Happy Friday! I have a short review for Nars Velvet Lip Glide today. Most of the days I am a typical neutral, nude lip colour type. However, I do love a red lipstick from time to time, especially in the cold season or a rainy day. A little bit of bright colour can change the mood and brighten things up. A couple of weeks ago, I got Mecca beauty loop box. Among all the little goodies in the box for me to try, I found a mini size Nars velvet lip glide. The colour is Le Palace. You can see I love it so much that I got myself a full size one already. 🙂 Nars says this product is “Covetable comfort meets confident colour in a high-pigment formula that glides like a gloss, cloaks like a lipstick—and feels like nothing else. Semi-matte colour glides on a stays supple without drying or feeling sticky. Developed with Oil Infusion Complex, an innovative concentration of precious oils, fused to create a smooth-glide effect. Fully coats lips on contact with smooth, saturated, …

Elemis Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream | Review

Hello, lovelies! Happy Friday! Today I have a review for Elemis Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream. It’s not a new product. It has been on the market for quite a while now. Elemis is one of the most popular skincare and spa brands in UK. I have received this product as a Xmas gift. I have been using it for two months now.   Elemis claims this product is an anti-wrinkle product. It helps to firm, smooth and replenish your skin. It is suitable for all skin types. This night cream is clinically proven to help skin’s natural regeneration process, maintain best skin condition, delay premature ageing signs. Zelens Z-22 Absolute Face Oil | Review

It’s getting cold here. Summer is officially over. Oh, I am not ready for the cold season yet. Anyway, speaking of the cold season, a good face oil is a must for me. Some of you probably know that I have got dry skin since I mentioned before many times. I feel that I cannot live without a good face oil ever since I started using it. Although I love the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night oil, I think it’s quite heavy. I bought the Zelens Z-22 Absolute Face Oil last month, and I have been using it everyday. Zelens claims this oil is “a blend of 22 precious oils ” which can help to refine skin texture, improve skin elasticity, increase radiance and prevent environment damage. It nourishes, plumps up the skin, and reinforces the skin’s natural barrier. You can use it day and night. It also says better results can be achieved by blending it with moisturizers or serums. Key Ingredients (22 oils): Perilla (Shiso) oil, Rice bran oil, Camellia oil, Squalane, Rosehip oil, Grape seed oil, Bergamot orange oil, Lemon …

BareMinerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm | Review

I went shopping with my mom few weeks ago. Although I didn’t have anything in mind, I still went in and tried few things (as usual) in our local Mecca beauty store. When I was trying the BareMinerals Buttercream lip gloss, these cute pretty lip balms caught my eyes. I ended up taking two with me home. Somehow I cannot find this lip balm on BareMinerals website anymore. From Mecca’s website, it says it’s an oil-balm contains Vitamin E and passion fruit seed oil. It claims the formula hydrates and nourishes the lips. I got the colour of Tangerine Pop and Nude Passion. Tangerine Pop is a bright orange/coral colour, while the Nude Passion is a neutral nude colour. I love both. Nude Passion is definitely like your lips but better. Tangerine is warm coral, which goes well on my tanned skin in summer. I was impressed by the colour payoff. If I just apply once, it gives a hint of colour. If I want more colour on my lips, I only need to apply two or three …

Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask | Review

Two weeks ago, I went to our local Priceline shop to get some cotton buds. The girl who worked in the shop was so nice and sweet. She recommended the Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask to me. It is $18 normally. However, I only paid $10 for it because there was a promotion in the store. For $10, I certainly wouldn’t mind to try it out. Who knows! I might just find the best clay mask ever. 😉 Manuka honey has been a star ingredient for skin care in the past few years. It is full of goodies. It is well-known that honey has antibacterial compounds help to heal and stop bacteria reproducing on the skin. Manuka honey’s anti-inflammatory property is great to treat acne scars. It helps to regenerate, repair cellular damage and nourish the skin. It also has anti-ageing effect. Sounds promising, right? 🙂   Key Ingredients: Aloe Vera: calming, soothing, moisturising and antibacterial. Kaolin Clay: detoxifying, reducing large pores, soothing and nourishing. Manuka Honey: antioxidant, healing, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacteria and soothing. Charcoal Powder: detoxifying and brightening. Salicylic Acid: …

Best of January | Favourites

Hey everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful week! I can’t believe January is officially over. It’s a little bit crazy, I think. We have been so busy celebrating New Year and then Chinese New Year. Normally, there is a gap between the two. However, Chinese New Year was in Jan this year. We actually are still celebrating it, a lot of cooking and a lot of yummy food. January was a really hot month here in Brisbane. We spent a lot of time on the beach. Most of the days I didn’t really wear full face makeup. Just cc cream with some concealer, a little bit of blush and lip gloss to brighten my face. I was all about the natural, no makeup makeup look. Here are few things I have been loving for the month: Beauty Too Faced Love Blush – I Will Always Love you I got this one recently from Mecca store. I was looking for something light and natural that I can use everyday for the summer. This blush …

2016 favourites | Makeup

Happy holidays, guys! It’s almost the end of the 2016. Time flies. New Year is just around the corner. I hope you are enjoying the festive period, getting some rest, doing the things you love with your family, and sharing some good laughs. I was doing my annual reorganisation for pretty much everything at home. Some of things will have to go. Some of the things I will keep for a long time. Since it’s the end of the year, I would love to share some of my makeup favourites in this year with you. Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Eye Shadow Palette – Neutral and bright tone eye shadows in heart shape pan ( I surrendered already when I saw it). The chocolate smell is divine. The eye shadows are very pigmented and versatile. I have been using it for a long time. It still looks like untouched. It Cosmetics Your Skin but Better CC cream – I did a brief review for this CC cream. It’s my everyday go-to in the summer. It has …

DRUNK ELEPHANT Juju™+ Pekee™ Duo | Review

Frankly speaking, I have not been a fan for soap bars. I have used different soap bars before. I didn’t like any of them a single bit. I found they are always drying, and they don’t really clean my makeup very well. However, I have heard good things about Drunk Elephant as a beauty brand since it aims to create product that is safe, minimal, effective and non-toxic. I totally agree and love this concept. Since a lot of people are raving about their soap bars as a gentle cleanser, I got curious about the products and wanted to try them out. I bought this little travel duo few weeks ago from the local beauty shop. The travel duo includes Juju bar for the morning cleansing (the brown colour one on the right) and Pekee bar (the white one in the photo above) for the night. It’s 30g each at a price of AUD 26. Juju bar From the packaging, it says Juju bar is “an ultra-mild, multitasking bar that deeply cleanses, subtly exfoliates”. It has creamy lather to dissolve …
