Biotherm Blue Therapy Accelerate Serum | Review

I don’t think I have posted a review for the Biotherm Blue Therapy Accelerate serum. I have almost finished the entire bottle. Guess it’s time to talk about it. Somehow I always like this brand. Unfortunately, it’s not so easy to purchase their products in Australia, at least in Brisbane. This is an anti-ageing repairing serum. It claims that it will help to reduce winkles, improve firmness and restore the youth of your skin. Well, I don’t believe any products can really restore the youth of my skin. However, I am obsessed with clear and luminous skin which gives your skin a youthful look. That’s all I am asking for from an anti-ageing serum. What they say about this product: “Rejuvenating serum to reduce visible signs of aging: fine lines – smoothing – firmness…oil-in-water dispersion system. Concentrated in extract of “Algae of Youth”, which delivers powerful hydrating capabilities that counter signs of aging, day after day. Fine lines appear smoothed, complexion is radiant, and facial skin contours feel tighter for a visible transformation.” Sounds pretty …

Little Things I Have Been Loving

Hey lovelies, it has been a long time since I did a favourite post. I have some beauty products, a new favourite fragrance, and some other bits and bobs. I love sharing favourite things with my friends.  It’s just so exciting! 🙂 Replica Beach Walk EDT Maison Margiela I can’t tell you enough how much I love this one. It has become my every day scent since I bought it. It’s light, refreshing, and warm. It’s the smell of summer breeze and feeling of the afternoon sun on your skin. The coconut scent takes me to the golden sand beach every time when I wear it. I guess that’s why it’s called “Beach Walk“. It makes me feel cosy and relaxed. Buxom Cosmetic Big & Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick – Burning Desire I came across this lipstick about a month ago. As it’s still winter here in Australia, I always love a bold red lippy in the cold season. It’s really long-lasting and lightweight. The lipstick is super pigmented. I love the satin finish. I …

Mochi Black Rice Ball

Have you tried Mochi? It’s also called Japanese rice cake. It is made from short-grain japonica glutinous rice. The Mochi is soft and slightly sweet. It is used for making sweet or savoury dishes. Very often, we have it with stuffed red bean paste as a dessert. Traditionally, it involves a lot of hard work to make Mochi. Two people have to pound the glutinous rice with wooden mallets. However, these days, we can make it from sticky rice flour, cornstarch and sugar at home in a microwave. You do need to knead the dough a bit. From time to time, I like to make these rice balls as my breakfast or a quick lunch. The filling I used is pork floss this time. Just remember Mochi is very sticky to work with.  I wear gloves to prepare it. It’s so much easy in that way. I hope you like it. Makes 6 big rick balls or rolls (more if you make small size rick ball) INGREDIENTS: Sticky rice flour – 100g Cornstarch – 30g Full cream Milk …

Indie Lee COQ – 10 Toner|Review

Hello lovely people, another Monday! I hope you are all doing well. Here is probably my first toner review. I heard about Indie Lee COQ-10 toner from Caroline Hirons’s YouTube channel. She was raving about it on her YouTube channel and her blog. It was in her Cultbeauty beauty box as well, I think. My toner was almost used up last month. I thought I should give it a try since she recommended it to ‘normal to dry’ skin types. I did a little bit research on it as well. It’s a natural product and alcohol, acids, artificial fragrance, parabens free. There are quite a lot of good reviews about it. Many people said it worked wonder on their dry skin. I was hoping I would see same result on my skin too, especially during the change of seasons. My dry skin could use some help. What they say about the product: “An alcohol free, skin-balancing toner formulated with the powerful antioxidant CoQ-10. The hydrating and refreshing mixture diminishes the appearance of pores and balance …

Kao Steam Eye Mask | Review

Hey guys, happy Friday! Another week is gone. Can you believe it’s already June! I found this newly opened Japanese shop when I was doing my grocery shopping last week. Of course, I had to pick up few things. This box of  Kao steam eye mask was one of them. I had heard about it before, and I was very curious. Kao says the mask warms up gradually to  40°C once it’s taken out of the pouch. Steam is produced by the heat. Ear straps are attached to the eye mask on both side. There are options of unscented and scented eye masks (lavender-sage, rose, fresh rose, Yuzu aroma, and chamomile-ginger). It says it can relieve tired eyes. I purchased the one without scent. It was AUD 20 for one box which contains 14 individual packed eye masks. I am sure it’s much cheaper in Japan. The eye mask is disposable. If you don’t mind the scent, I think the lavender-sage could be very relaxing. It also mentions that all the scent is made from natural …

BareMinerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm | Review

I went shopping with my mom few weeks ago. Although I didn’t have anything in mind, I still went in and tried few things (as usual) in our local Mecca beauty store. When I was trying the BareMinerals Buttercream lip gloss, these cute pretty lip balms caught my eyes. I ended up taking two with me home. Somehow I cannot find this lip balm on BareMinerals website anymore. From Mecca’s website, it says it’s an oil-balm contains Vitamin E and passion fruit seed oil. It claims the formula hydrates and nourishes the lips. I got the colour of Tangerine Pop and Nude Passion. Tangerine Pop is a bright orange/coral colour, while the Nude Passion is a neutral nude colour. I love both. Nude Passion is definitely like your lips but better. Tangerine is warm coral, which goes well on my tanned skin in summer. I was impressed by the colour payoff. If I just apply once, it gives a hint of colour. If I want more colour on my lips, I only need to apply two or three …
