Becca First Light Priming Filter | Review

Hi guys, I hope you are having a lovely day! Have your tried the new primer from Becca? My primer was running low last month. So I thought it was time to get a new one. I came across the Becca First Light Priming Filter. Wow, look at the colour! This primer is described as a “skin-awakening primer that instantly erases the signs of a bad face day to leave the complexion fresh, awake and hydrated” by Becca. It comes in a frosted glass bottle with a pump. I love the packaging. Very chic! Don’t get intimidated by the colour. Violet/Purple can neutralise dullness and yellow colour in skin-tone,  and it has brightening effect. I used a violet colour loose powder from Anna Sui years ago. When I got this primer, I couldn’t help to try it out right away. I noticed an instant natural looking glow on my skin right after I applied it. It felt like I just had a great night sleep. The skin also looked very well hydrated. I have been using Mac …

Best of January | Favourites

Hey everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful week! I can’t believe January is officially over. It’s a little bit crazy, I think. We have been so busy celebrating New Year and then Chinese New Year. Normally, there is a gap between the two. However, Chinese New Year was in Jan this year. We actually are still celebrating it, a lot of cooking and a lot of yummy food. January was a really hot month here in Brisbane. We spent a lot of time on the beach. Most of the days I didn’t really wear full face makeup. Just cc cream with some concealer, a little bit of blush and lip gloss to brighten my face. I was all about the natural, no makeup makeup look. Here are few things I have been loving for the month: Beauty Too Faced Love Blush – I Will Always Love you I got this one recently from Mecca store. I was looking for something light and natural that I can use everyday for the summer. This blush …

Korean beauty | Etude House

I am sure everyone knows about K-beauty/Korean beauty trend.  My friends sent me some Etude House products lately. Etude House always has playful and cute design for their packaging. When she said she sent me these, I was so excited. They really are super cute! Here they are. Etude House My Castle Hand Cream  – Forever Rose Look at the packaging! How cute it is! I know Etude House’s products always have girly packaging, but this is incredibly cute as a hand cream. I have never had such an adorable hand cream. It’s going to stay on my dressing table forever. 🙂 This hand cream is from their My Castle Hand Cream range. There are totally four of them, Pink Wish, Ice Frozen, Forever Rose and Sweet Cookie. This one is Forever Rose. The hand cream has a very light purple color. The scent is kind of sweet rose scent, but not overwhelming. It’s like the fresh smell from the baby roses, not the full body rose smell. It’s very pleasant. The quality is surprisingly good. It absorbs very well on my hands …

Some beauty favourties| Makeup

Can you believe it’s November? Time just flies. Summer is already here. Today is like 30 degree outside. I am sitting here and typing on my keyboard in shorts and t-shirts. How can you not love the weather in Brisbane. 🙂 Today I want to share some beauty products that I love with you guys. Nothing new. These are the products I have had for a while, and I have been using them everyday. It Cosmetics Your Skin but Better CC cream From the photo, you can see the CC cream has been very well loved. I have been using it everyday for the past few weeks. The coverage is medium, but buildable to high coverage. I do think it gets quite heavy if you try to achieve a full coverage look. It comes in a tube with a pump at one end. One pump is definitely enough for me. The texture is creamy which is very good on my dry skin. It’s very easy to blend with dewy finish. There are only five shades though. …

Hourglass vanish seamless foundation stick |Review

Personally, I think the most important part of makeup is the foundation. A good foundation helps to prepare your skin to have a good base for the makeup. For me, a good base means natural looking and even skin tone. Once you have established that, the rest should be easy for a everyday life, a little bit of lip gloss, a red lipstick, a full faced makeup or just some mascara. You will still look more put together, even you just run out of the door with a lip balm in your pocket. It sounds so simple, but actually not. Finding the right foundation is quite a tricky business. The color needs to match your skin tone. The texture has to suit your skin type. Coverage should be good enough. The ingredients must not irritate your skin. A good foundation will compliment your skin condition, not emphasize the fine lines, clog the skin or make you look like you have a thick layer of plaster on the face. I have very dry skin and hyper-pigmentation on …
