Good morning, Larnaca

After a 14-hours flight and another three hours one, we finally arrived at Larnaca, Cyprus. After check-in and a quick dinner, we hit the pillows long and hard. Then, jet lag kicked in. However, Sometimes it’s a good thing. We woke up at 5am and decided to have an early morning walk on the beach. So quiet. The city was still sleeping. There were few people swimming in in the sea. Some were walking the dog or jogging alone the seaside. It’s probably the best time of the day to enjoy the city before the heat and heaps of tourists like ourselves wake up. We walked on the beach. The city is waking up. More and more people emerged on the street, jogging, cycling, fishing. “Kalimera!” They greeted each other. The water is crystal clear and calm. We sat down and waited for the sunrise. I admit I haven’t had a chance to watch sunrise in such a beautiful place for years. I had forgotten how beautiful it is. Apart from the time we spent …

How to Choose Between Laser Skincare Options

Have you ever considered Laser Skincare Options for your skin problems? I know I have. I am still considering Laser treatment for the stubborn pigmentation on my cheeks. Few skincare procedures are anywhere near as well-known as laser treatments. Yet, many people still don’t fully understand how laser treatments work or how one laser device varies from another. You must have an understanding of those things before you can choose between laser skincare options for anti-aging and properly treat your skin concerns. A Comparison of Ablative and Non-Ablative Laser Devices Traditional laser treatments are typically thought of as ablative (treating the skin’s surface) and non-ablative (treating deeper skin layers). While non-ablative treatments typically have no impact on the epidermis, or outer skin layer, ablative treatments can either focus on the surface or impact multiple skin layers, depending on their intensity and purpose. An ablative laser device often strips away surface skin cells, many of which are already dead. It can also help to unblock pores by removing debris that would otherwise clog them. In addition …

Looking For the Best Dry Shampoo

Happy Monday! To be honest, it is actually my least favourite day of the week. I guess there is no surprise there. Somehow, Monday is the day that I always have more stress and more unexpected incidents. I hope my Monday has more than 24 hours so that I get more things done. Anyway, lately, I am resolved to take better care of my hair. I wash my hair everyday although I know it’s not very good for the hair. It’s probably part of the reason of my crazy frizzy hair. I am going to try to wash hair less often. However, I still want clean looked hair. I am thinking I probably should try dry shampoo. It looks like it can keep my hair clean enough between washes. Plus, it will save so much time from washing and blow drying. A win-win! Dry shampoo has been on the market for a while. There are so many brands offering dry shampoo products now. The options can be quite overwhelming. It would be wise to do some research …

It’s not OK!

Hey guys, I hope you have had a good week! I scheduled a post for today, but I decided to put something else here. I just want to get it off my chest. I will keep it short. The story started on Monday. Same as you, I have followed many bloggers. I get email notifications when they update their blogs. On Monday, I got a notification email. I didn’t have time to read the post through the day. At night, after I read her post, I started looking at blogs on WordPress. I came across a beauty blog. The blogger had exact same post, same title, same photo and same words of the post I just read. At the beginning, I thought it was just reblogging. However, I couldn’t find the original blogger’s name anywhere in the post. It didn’t mention about the source either. Really?! I’m still quite new to the blogging world. However, I do know bloggers put effort and time to publish each post. If you want to reblog, I am sure most of …

Mochi Black Rice Ball

Have you tried Mochi? It’s also called Japanese rice cake. It is made from short-grain japonica glutinous rice. The Mochi is soft and slightly sweet. It is used for making sweet or savoury dishes. Very often, we have it with stuffed red bean paste as a dessert. Traditionally, it involves a lot of hard work to make Mochi. Two people have to pound the glutinous rice with wooden mallets. However, these days, we can make it from sticky rice flour, cornstarch and sugar at home in a microwave. You do need to knead the dough a bit. From time to time, I like to make these rice balls as my breakfast or a quick lunch. The filling I used is pork floss this time. Just remember Mochi is very sticky to work with.  I wear gloves to prepare it. It’s so much easy in that way. I hope you like it. Makes 6 big rick balls or rolls (more if you make small size rick ball) INGREDIENTS: Sticky rice flour – 100g Cornstarch – 30g Full cream Milk …

Indie Lee COQ – 10 Toner|Review

Hello lovely people, another Monday! I hope you are all doing well. Here is probably my first toner review. I heard about Indie Lee COQ-10 toner from Caroline Hirons’s YouTube channel. She was raving about it on her YouTube channel and her blog. It was in her Cultbeauty beauty box as well, I think. My toner was almost used up last month. I thought I should give it a try since she recommended it to ‘normal to dry’ skin types. I did a little bit research on it as well. It’s a natural product and alcohol, acids, artificial fragrance, parabens free. There are quite a lot of good reviews about it. Many people said it worked wonder on their dry skin. I was hoping I would see same result on my skin too, especially during the change of seasons. My dry skin could use some help. What they say about the product: “An alcohol free, skin-balancing toner formulated with the powerful antioxidant CoQ-10. The hydrating and refreshing mixture diminishes the appearance of pores and balance …
