Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream (Anti-wrinkle day cream)| Review

Hey lovelies, happy Friday! I can’t believe it’s March already! Somehow these days I always feel that I don’t have enough time to do everything.  It has proven this year is really a busy year for me.

Anyway, I have a skin care product review today, which is for Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream – Anti-wrinkle day cream. If you have followed me for a while, you probably remember I did a review for Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream last year.

Elemis is a UK luxury skincare brand. The Pro-collagen Marine Cream is an award-winning day cream. It was the Best Beauty Stylist winner in 2016 and Best for Mature Skin winner for 2017. I have almost finished this one. You will see in the photo. I gotta say I have been enjoying it.

Key Ingredients:

Padina Pavonica, Dermochlorella, Ginkgo Biloba, Porphyridium Cruentum, Absolutes of Rose and Mimosa.

My experience:

  • Usage: It’s a day cream. In the morning, I apply a pea sized amount cream on my face and neck after toner and serum. Sometimes, I use more if my skin feels particularly dry.
  • Texture: Light weight gel-cream.
  • Scent: Light scent. I can’t quite figure out what the scent is.
  • Packaging: Same as the night cream. It comes in a light blue plastic jar with a shining lid. I would expect a heavy glass jar for this price tag.
  • Price: AUD 187/50ml
It’s a very nice lightweight moisturiser. The cream is absorbed by my skin very quickly. Non-greasy or shiny. I love it for the summer. However, I think it won’t be enough for me in winter.
It does what it says about hydration. However, I don’t see obvious results of improving firmness and reducing wrinkles in 14 days.
The price is really high. I think I can find better product with that price. I am not saying it’s not a good product, but I do feel it’s overpriced.
Have you guys tried this cream? What’s your thought?
xx
