Burberry Oxblood Liquid Lip Velvet | Review

Hey guys, hope you all are having a wonderful day! When this post is up, I would be going on another short trip with my mom in Australia. Although I might not be able to respond to your comments or likes immediately, I would try to check in as soon as I can. Today, I have a short review for Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet. I got the colour of oxblood. To be honest, the colour is really out of my comfort zone. Normally nude pink is my colour, like dusty rose. I love Tom Ford Indian rose or Estee Lauder Dynamic (410). Occasionally, I would wear fuchsia when I am in the mood. I don’t think I have ever tried bold dark lips.I am being brave this time! ūüôā The Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet is described as having a “comforting, whipped texture” with velvet finish. The formula is long-lasting and non-drying. After I tried it, I fell in love with the non-drying formula. I have dry lips. Most of the liquid lipsticks or matte lipsticks I tried …

Fraser Island – the paradise (2)

Hey guys, here is my second post of Fraser Island. Just want to put together some highlights of¬†our trip and few things you need to pay attention when you travel to the island. If you go to Fraser Island, wherever you travel inland, you can only see sand tracks. Nothing else! Fraser Island actually is the only place on our planet that rain forest grows on the sand! (If I’m wrong there, please correct me.) This is truly amazing! I have never seen anything like that. Apart from relaxing on the beautiful beach, there are many¬†things you can do on the island. If¬†hiking is your thing, ¬†there are plenty of options, hiking to Lake McKenzie, taking a lake walk, or just having a short bush walk to see the vegetation and sand dunes. Fishing is a must-do for us on the island. When it’s high tide, there is not much you can do. You can either chill out at your rented house/resort/camping site or go hiking inland. However, we love fishing. So we wouldn’t miss …

Soft Oregano Garlic Cheese Bread

I have been loving soft bread for the past few weeks. Just couldn’t stop baking them. So easy to make! ¬†My favourites are the one¬†with pork floss, green onion and mayonnaise, and the sweet bread with peanut butter and black cherry jam. You can see the photos on my Instagram, here. Everyone just loved it! It was gone in few minutes. Nothing can make me happier than that. When I was tidying up our herb garden¬†yesterday, I found the oregano we planted few weeks back has been growing madly. I feel the urge to use some of it before any pest gets it. When I was waiting for the dough to rise, I washed and picked the oregano leaves. ¬†At the beginning, I thought I just add some olive oil and pine nuts to make a pesto paste. Then, I saw the garlic I roasted earlier. Why not, eh? I always find it’s so much fun to improvise with what I have in the kitchen. Then, Parmesan cheese is a must! Actually, I thought about¬†Feta …

Fraser Island – the paradise

Last week, we had a getaway weekend to Fraser Island, the biggest sand island in the world. I can’t believe we didn’t go there earlier.¬†The beauty of the island is breathtaking without a single bit of exaggeration. No surprise it is World Heritage listed. The only regret was¬†that we couldn’t stay longer than a weekend this time. It was¬†a bit of drive to get to the island from Brisbane. It took us about three hours to Rainbow Beach. We got our hired car there, and we were off to take the ferry. You need a proper 4WD vehicle to drive around on the island. Since there are¬†no proper roads on the island, you have to drive on the beach during low tide. The inland tracks are all soft sand. No way you can drive your normal car there without damage it or get stuck. While we were on the ferry, everyone was already awed for the view of the island. You really can’t blame them, the blue sky, white clouds, white sand, green vegetation at …

Cinnamon Matcha pudding

I pretty much like everything with¬†matcha, tea (of course!), ice cream, or pancakes. Matcha powder is fine powder made from green tea leaves. It has so many health benefits, boosting metabolism, burning calories and detoxifying. I normally get my matcha powder from our local tea shop. I love this¬†cinnamon matcha powder. They also have turmeric matcha and vanilla matcha powder too. I think¬†I will give them a try when I visit¬†the shop next time. The cinnamon gives extra flavor to the normal matcha powder. It’s perfect for brewing a cuppa. I also love to use it in making desserts. These delicious cinnamon matcha puddings are very easy to make. Prepare the day before, leave it in the fridge. They are ready to serve the next day. I serve it with fresh fruits, cream or both. It’s a wonderful treat for myself, my friends, or my¬†guests. Gelatin powder is used in this recipe. Please feel free to use gelatin sheets or agar agar. When I pour the final mixture into glasses, I use a fine strainer to …

Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask | Review

Two weeks ago, I went to our local Priceline shop to get some cotton buds. The girl who worked in the shop was so nice and sweet. She recommended the Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask to me. It is $18 normally. However, I only paid $10 for it because¬†there was¬†a promotion in the store. For $10, I certainly wouldn’t mind to try it out. Who knows! I might just find the best clay mask ever. ūüėČ Manuka honey has been a star¬†ingredient for skin care in the past few years. It is full of goodies. It is well-known that honey has antibacterial compounds help to heal and stop bacteria reproducing on the¬†skin. Manuka honey’s¬†anti-inflammatory property is great to treat acne scars. It helps to regenerate, repair cellular damage and nourish the skin. It also has anti-ageing effect. Sounds promising, right? ūüôā   Key Ingredients: Aloe Vera: calming, soothing, moisturising and antibacterial. Kaolin Clay: detoxifying, reducing large pores, soothing and nourishing. Cauliflower Miso Soup

I love cauliflower. It is probably one of my favourite vegetables. The best thing about cauliflower is that it is so easy to cook. Sometimes, I just break the¬†head into small pieces and cook it with some butter. Once it’s cooked, season with salt and fresh ground black pepper. it’s just delicious! Today’s recipe is a simple cauliflower soup with miso paste. If you like creamy soup, you will like this one. There are many ways of making a cauliflower soup. You can make it with blue cheese if you like ¬†a strong flavour. The thickened cream or yoghurt will make it creamier. You can also cook it with potatoes or carrots. Personally, I think cauliflower soup goes well with many different spices/herbs. I have tried coriander, parsley, paprika, and cumin seeds.¬†I use oregano for today’s recipe. I hope you enjoy the recipe. ūüôā Makes 2 servings. INGREDIENTS Coconut oil – 2 tbsps Onion – 1, chopped Garlic cloves – 3, chopped Cauliflower – 1/2, broken into small pieces Potato – 1, small, chopped Chicken …
