Hello everyone. Happy New Year! I wish you all had a fun, joyful and safe New Year!
Look back. I certainly had up and down in 2016. However, it’s part of my life experience and certainly part of me. So, thank you to my 2016! I am looking forward to my 2017.
It’s time of the year to make New Year’s resolutions. I have quite a long list. My New Year’s resolutions are more like a very specific To Do list. I find it works much better this way for me when I try to meet my goals. Instead of “do more exercises”, I put “30 minutes workout everyday” on my list. I also have a list of book to read in 2017. It’s much easier to achieve than just “read more”.
Anyway, I don’t really want to bore you with my long resolution list. I actually want to share some apps that helped me to achieve some of my goals last year in this post.
I certainly have a lot of apps on my phone. However, these apps are the ones I use every single day.
Plant Nanny – Do you know some of the people just don’t like to drink water. Yep. I am one of them. I know it’s definitely not good for me, and I am trying very hard to change it. “Drink more water” is always on my list. This little app is very helpful. It can calculate how much you need to drink for a normal day base on your weight. You can set up a reminder and how much you want to drink every time. There are many options of cute plants. You will have to drink water to keep it alive. It certainly works for me. 🙂
Nike+ Training Club – A free workout app which helps me to learn different types of exercise. There are videos to show you how to do the workout. You can even have a tailored training plan for yourself. You can share with friends and track your exercises.
Clue -An app that you can use to track pretty much everything. I use it to track my sleep, weight, PMS, exercise, craving and skin/hair condition. I think it’s very important for me to understand myself and my body better.
Audible – Personally, I like to hold a real book in my hand. The reality is I don’t have all the time in the world to do that. It was recommended by a friend of mine. I love it. I signed up the membership (AUD14.95 per month) and get at least a book every month. It’s so handy. I use it when I cook, travel, or exercise. I don’t know how you feel about this. I certainly love someone read a book for me from time to time.
One more thing I can’t live without is my personal planner. It helps to organise my life, like cooking ideas, inspirations, family stuff, blog, birthday parties, trips, vet appointments for three fur-kids, and so many many other things….
No matter what New Year’s resolutions you have for this year, I hope we all stay positive, healthy and be kind to people around us and ourselves (of course!).
Hi Jen Li!
I love how positive you are!!! Yes, by the last 3 months of 2016; I was so ready for it to be over! I also really enjoy setting goals for the New Year and love the to-do-list approach a lot!
You are on a great track with your workouts! I like how you set guidelines like 30 minute workout, which gives you freedom to choose what you would like to do.
Your app list is also really helpful and I am looking forward to checking out these apps. Super cute daily planner too :).
I hope 2017 will be an absolutely AMAZING adventure for you!!!

Thanks, Alana. I hope the apps will be helpful. I found out I won’t get bored easily if I change the workout from time to time. So I won’t give up. Haha. I hope you achieve the goals you set for the New Year. All the best for 2017! 💕
